Accessibility Statement
Callup.gg — Upload. Improve. Get Called Up.
Effective Date: 2026-05-29
Last Updated: 2026-05-29
1. Our Commitment
Callup.gg is committed to making competitive gaming social, coaching, and community tools accessible to as many people as possible — including players, coaches, and scouts who use assistive technologies. Accessibility is part of how we ship: every new feature lands with accessibility considerations rather than waiting for a remediation pass.
Callup is operated by 17811659 Canada Inc., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada.
2. Standards We Aim to Meet
We design, build, and test Callup.gg against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA covers a broad range of recommendations for making digital content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for users with disabilities.
We test on the platforms our users actually use:
- iOS app with VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion, Increase Contrast, and Switch Control.
- Web app with screen readers (VoiceOver on macOS, NVDA on Windows), keyboard-only navigation, and high-contrast modes.
- Desktop app with the operating system's native screen-reader bridges.
3. Accessibility Features We Provide Today
3.1 Visual
- High color contrast across primary UI surfaces, audited against WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios.
- Dynamic Type support on iOS — text scales up to accommodate larger system sizes.
- Reduced-motion mode honored — animations are dampened or replaced with static transitions when the operating system requests reduced motion.
- Captions and clip titles render at a legible default size and respect system-level text-size preferences.
3.2 Navigation
- Keyboard-accessible navigation across all primary surfaces on web.
- Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements.
- Semantic HTML and ARIA labels on web; meaningful accessibility labels and traits on iOS controls.
- Logical reading order for assistive technologies.
3.3 Media
- Video clips can be paused, scrubbed, and replayed using standard controls reachable by screen readers and keyboards.
- Audio volume control is independent of system volume for fine-tuning by users with hearing differences.
- Clip captions surface as text and can be read aloud by assistive technology.
3.4 Communication
- Direct messages and group chats expose timestamps, sender names, and read state to screen readers.
- Notification preferences can be configured granularly so users can mute high-frequency notification types.
4. Known Limitations
We are continually improving accessibility, but there are areas where work is ongoing:
- Some user-uploaded clips may not include captions or audio descriptions; we are exploring automated captioning for v1.x.
- AI Replay Coach reports include visual elements (annotated frames) that may require additional alt text in future versions.
- Live esports streams are embedded from third-party providers (Twitch, YouTube) whose accessibility characteristics we do not control.
We treat each of these as an open item, not a permanent gap.
5. Reporting Accessibility Issues
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on Callup.gg — anything from an unreadable label to a screen-reader misroute to a missing focus indicator — please tell us. Real reports from real users meaningfully change our prioritization.
Email: contact@callup.gg
Subject line: "Accessibility — [brief description]"
In your message, please include if you can:
- The page or screen where you encountered the issue.
- The assistive technology you were using (screen reader, switch control, etc.) and its version.
- Your operating system and Callup version.
- What you expected to happen vs. what actually happened.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 3 business days and to provide a remediation timeline within 10 business days of acknowledgment. For issues that block use of the platform, we prioritize a same-week fix.

7. Updates to This Statement
This statement reflects the current state of accessibility on Callup.gg. We update it when we ship a meaningful accessibility improvement, when we discover a new limitation, or at least every 12 months — whichever comes first. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
