Sample report
Graded from a real Platinum 1 Jett round. This is the full report a player gets back, about a minute after upload.
Jett aces this round, reading the spike carrier kill at 12.7s and rotating mid on that information instead of finishing the original path. The rotation route is the weak point: it crosses several angles at once at 46 HP, and higher elos punish that. The bigger leak is the kit sitting unspent, because Jett's smokes and dash are what turn a good read into a safe entry.
0:09Hug the mid corner tight, not the flat wall behind it.
A teammate already called mid, so the angle was known. Wide against a flat wall gives the enemy a bigger target and more time to react.
0:12Rotate on the spike carrier banner every round, not just here.
Jett is repositioning within a second of the banner at 12.7s. Most Platinum players finish the path they were on. This read set up the 1v1.
0:19Smoke the far end of mid before peeking that corridor.
The ability bar is full and an enemy holds the long angle. A dry peek down a corridor at 46 HP is the worst trade on offer.
0:22Take catwalk high ground before the fight, not during it.
Looking down forces the enemy to drag their crosshair up to you. That asymmetry is exactly what Jett's mobility exists to buy.
0:30Use Tailwind as combat movement, not only as an escape.
Dashing into the last enemy closes the gap on your terms at low HP rather than theirs. The ace lands two seconds later.
0:37Stop pushing once the last enemy is down.
The ace already ended the round, so the walk toward A tree wins nothing. That same reflex trades your life at 46 HP when one is alive.
Crosshair Placement
highAt 9.6s and 19.1s the crosshair sits near center screen at body height, so it has to travel up to find a head.
Fix. Park it on a head height pixel on the corner you expect them at, before you start moving. Pre-aimed, not reactive.
Ability Usage Timing
highAcross the 19 to 25s window Jett's smokes stay in the bar while engagements are live.
Fix. Buy two Cloudbursts a round and throw them before the fight starts, not once it is already live.
Movement During Engagement
mediumAt 22.3s the W key is lit while the rifle is firing at the enemy below catwalk.
Fix. Counter-strafe to a full stop before the first bullet. Reposition with the dash between shots rather than walking.
0:09Holding mid from open ground with a flat wall behind, no cover between you and the push
highPick a hold spot where something breaks their line before it reaches you: a box, a corner, a doorframe. Standing in open mid means the first frame they see contains all of you.
0:19Pushing a long, narrow mid corridor toward a visible enemy at 46 HP
highDo not walk into a long angle. Take the fight at the mouth of the corridor where the distance is short, or rotate off it entirely. At 46 HP an even duel is already a losing one.
0:28Traversing mid catwalk exposed to the far mid arch and the catwalk drop at once
mediumHug the side that deletes one of the two angles. You can only fight one direction at a time, and the dash bails you out of one angle, never two.
Buy and save decisions
6/10The Vandal is the right rifle for Jett and is visible throughout. At 46 HP through the mid round the shields are gone, bought thin or broken early, and full armor on a rifle round is not optional at Platinum. The $4,150 showing after the round leaves the economy healthy.
Corner Pre-Aim Parking10 minutes
In a deathmatch or custom game, walk toward five different corners and stop before each peek. Park the crosshair at head height on the corner pixel before you move again, and do not peek until it is parked.
Addresses: Crosshair placement drifting to body level before engagements
Smoke-Then-Peek Repetition15 minutes
In a custom game, pick three long angles. Smoke the far end, wait half a second, then peek the smoke edge with the crosshair already at head height. Ten reps per angle.
Addresses: Jett smokes unused during active long-angle engagements
Counter-Strafe Stop-and-Shoot10 minutes
In the range or a deathmatch, move left, tap right to stop, fire one bullet, then mirror it. The bar is zero movement when the bullet leaves, and the crosshair should settle before every shot.
Addresses: Moving while firing rifle, causing spread and missed shots
Pre-Aim Every Corner at Head Height
Next session, before you peek mid or any long corridor, park your crosshair at head height on the corner pixel first and hold it there for a beat before you move. Your next review checks the peeks in that clip against this.
Your macro is ahead of your mechanics right now, and reacting to the spike carrier kill to rotate mid is the read that won this round. Spend the next few sessions making the kit automatic, one smoke in front of every long peek and the dash as your combat movement, and the same reads will cost you far less HP. If you want someone watching your decisions live, even one session with a human coach compresses weeks of solo grinding.
