Called up, not called in.
They said get a real job. There is a real one in gaming, and it is not streaming. Scholarships, scouts, and coaching, all based on your tape, not your follower count. If you are 16 or older, get found on Callup. Free.

Scholarships
College esports programs offer scholarships to players they find. Post your tape and, if you are 16 or older, become findable.
Get found
Scout dashboard
If you are 16 or older, college and pro scouts can find your clips and profile through a dashboard built for recruiting. No follower count required.
Coach
Coaching
List yourself as a coach for free and get found by players who need help; anything you arrange with them is between you and them.
Don't let the kid with the controller down
The dream was never unrealistic. The path just used to be invisible. Streaming is the hardest way in. The players actually making a living are the ones colleges scout, the ones orgs sign, and the ones who coach. None of it needs a single follower. It needs your tape in front of the right people. For players 16 or older, that is what Callup does.
Playing for a living FAQ
Can you really make a living playing video games?
Yes, and it is not just streaming, which is the hardest and longest-odds path. The realistic paths are college esports scholarships, getting scouted by collegiate and pro programs, and coaching other players for pay. All of them are based on how you play, not on your follower count.
How do esports scholarships work?
Hundreds of colleges in the US and Canada run varsity esports programs with full and partial scholarships. On Callup you post clips and build a profile, and if you are 16 or older you become visible to the scouts on Callup.
Do I need a big following to get scouted?
No. Scouts care about your tape, not your follower count. If you are 16 or older, Callup puts your clips and profile in front of college and pro scouts through a dashboard built for recruiting, so players with zero following can still get found. You can turn that off in Settings.
How do I make money coaching on Callup?
You can list yourself as a coach on Callup for free and be found by players who want to improve. Players message you from your profile, and anything you arrange with them, including what you charge, is between you and them. Callup takes no cut and does not handle payment.
Is Callup free?
Yes. Posting clips, building your profile, being visible to scouts (16 or older), and Replay Coach reviews (your first in full, then free previews every week) cost nothing. Pro adds more reviews, the full report every time, longer clips, and a visibility boost for your clips in the main feed, but the path starts free.
