Open with an end game, not a build battle

Do not crop. Material count proves whether you managed resources or got lucky, the storm timer proves you rotated on schedule, and the player count shows how deep in the game the decision came. These are the evidence, not the frame.

Show a rotation you made early and uncontested

Include a clip where you moved before the zone forced you and took a strong spot without a fight. It looks like nothing happening, and it is the clearest possible demonstration that you understand how competitive points are scored.

Label mode, event type and date on every clip

State Build or Zero Build, and state whether the clip is from an open tournament, a scrim or a public match. Fortnite changes fast, so date the footage too. Unlabelled clips get assumed to be public lobbies, which is the weakest reading.

Include one clip where you conserved rather than fought

Show yourself declining a fight to protect mats or position. Restraint is the hardest thing to teach a competitive Fortnite player and the easiest thing for a coach to value once they can actually see it on video.

Link full tournament VODs behind the edit

Keep the reel around two minutes and link complete recent competitive games behind it. Because tournament placements are public in this title, a verifiable reel is unusually powerful and an unverifiable one is unusually easy to dismiss.
